DTB crystallizer, which is a typical modern industrial continuous crystallizer, is the most widely used, whether it is vacuum evaporation, vacuum flash cooling or direct contact freezing, it is the best continuous crystallizer. It consists of a heating chamber (or cooler), a crystallizing chamber, a circulating pump, a vertical axial flow pump, a crystallizing zone, an evaporating zone, and a mother liquid zone baffle.

The crystal size is large, the particle is uniform, the surface is smooth, the product, the crystal type characteristic is different, but within certain range, the particle size can be adjusted, this is the "DTB" mold biggest characteristic. The structure design of DTB crystallizer is complicated. The settlement area should be designed according to different settlement rates of evaporation zone, crystallization zone and mother liquor zone, so as to calculate the diameter of the crystallizer. The sedimentation rate is determined by the properties of the crystalline materials. Generally speaking, the rising speed in the through-flow pipe is less than 1m/s, the settling speed of evaporation chamber is less than 0.2m/s, the settling speed of crystallization zone is less than 0.1m/s, and the mother liquor zone is less than 0.05m/s.

The design of vertical axial flow pump is the key of "DTB" crystallizer. It belongs to special axial flow pump with large flow, low head, low rotating speed and large impeller diameter. It is the "heart" of a crystallizer, and the size of crystal size is often closely related to its design.
